The self-lubricating properties of the Dylyn®/DLC coating reduce strongly the need for liquid lubricants. The running-in period of the spinning ring is no longer required, leading to a significant increase of production yield. The extreme wear resistance and self-lubricating properties of the coating yield a higher lifetime of both the spinning ring and the corresponding cursor. Furthermore the quality of the yarn is improved and remains stable for a longer period. |

|
Wear on rapiers is strongly decreased because of the high wear resistance of the duplex coating (hard metallic underlayer + Dylyn®/DLC. The low friction properties of the Dylyn®/DLC coating reduce significantly the number of yarn ruptures. |

These parts with a Dylyn®/DLC coating work per couple. The thread passes between the two parts of the cogged side. Pressure is brought to the blade in order to slow down the speed of the thread. | ||
