Beki-ShieldŽ GR stainless steel fibres have proven to be very efficient as filler materials for electrically conductive plastics. Very low amounts are sufficient to fulfil specifications and regulations for Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
The chopped fibres are bound together with polymeric binders specific for various polymer resins. They can be used as a master batch and have been designed for easy dispersion into the polymer matrix.
Beki-ShieldŽ GR
Plastics with stainless steel fibres are also available as dry blend or melt compound, from a number of specialty compounders. By adding Beki-ShieldŽ to a plastic compound, the fibres will create an electrically conductive network in the moulded parts. This will act as a shield against Electromagnetic Interference and Electrostatic Discharge, or will prevent electrostatic charging of components.
