Bekaert Fibre Technologies (BFT) develops, manufactures and markets very thin metal fibres and metal fibre based products.
These metal fibres, in the range of 1 to 80µ thickness, are up to 60 times thinner than human hair and are available in various alloys.

Thanks to permanent innovation, Bekaert Fibre technologies continues to be successful in a wide variety of applications and products. The most important applications are Porous Media, Filter Elements, Conductive Plastics, Heat-Resistant and Electrically Conductive Textiles, Airbag and Burner Pads.

Fibres for concrete reinforcement : Dramix®, Wiremix®, and Dramix®Duo
for industrial flooring, housing, tunnelling and precast. Steel fibres replace in concrete the traditional mesh reinforcement.
Duomix® fibres: polypropylene fibres for crack control at the early stage in concrete.
