To produce strong welded mesh wires, a wire is laid perpendicular across a series of wires. Cupper electrodes push the wires together. High electrical current is then applied at key intersecting points, melting the metal and causing it to bond.Other techniques used to produce mesh include the weaving of chain-links, hexagonal mesh or hinge joint knotting.
