Alumini®: extremely compact and high quality aluminium heat exchanger

Advantages

  • A high output range in a very compact housing
  • Large and simple water channels resulting in low hydraulic resistance (< 140 mbar) reducing the risk of clogging and scaling
  • High flame stability over the whole capacity range due to the specially developed burner
  • High modulation range and low pneumatic resistance

Alumini
© Bekaert

Are you looking for a compact, cost-effective and lightweight residential aluminium heat exchanger? Then Bekaert has got what you are looking for: the Alumini 28® and 38® heat exchanger product range. It is robust and has a compact and standardized design.

It is light and with its small dimensions, it is perfectly suitable for use in compact wall hung boilers. Despite its small dimensions, it provides a high output to comply with the latest requirements for use in residential condensing boilers. The Alumini® is an aluminium cast monobloc. Aluminium has an excellent thermal conductivity giving eight times better heat transfer coefficient compared with stainless steel. The heat exchanger is cast, so there are no internal gaskets required. It is easy to vent air or to drain the water from the heat exchanger, which results in minimal maintenance.

The Alumini® can be operated with all major gas/air systems. It has a fully water cooled combustion chamber design and therefore no ceramic insulation is needed. The heat cells are equipped with a Furinit® premix high efficiency burner.

Benefit exclusively from Bekaert's leading experience in the combustion technology!

metal fiber web filter

Situation

Ever-tougher emission standards and legislation are forcing OEMs to develop ever-cleaner engines.

Solution

A sintered metal fiber web made of Bekaert metal fibers is used in a diesel particulate filter to lower the emission and to make filter maintenance redundant.

Result

Customers discover that filtration based on metal fibers is an excellent alternative to traditional ceramic filters.
