Product description
To comply with the needs of our customers, Bekaert has developed a new compact and lightweight aluminium heat cell, the Alutop®, specially designed for domestic applications. This Bekaert heat exchanger is cast in aluminium. Cast aluminium offers high heat conductivity properties and is a very reliable material which has been used in the boiler market for more than 35 years.
The Alutop® has a strong rigid design that is based on proven technology. It is also suitable for open vented systems and it has a monobloc casting, so that there are no welds or internal gaskets, which results in zero leakage. Bekaert developed a special combustion chamber geometry to facilitate positioning of burner hood without requiring additional space. Another important benefit is that the Alutop® has a fully water cooled combustion chamber giving lower NOx emission, requiring no ceramic insulation. It has a full serial water flow resulting in reliable operation minimizing the effects of scale and debris in the system. The Alutop® heat cells are equipped with Bekaert’s Furipat® burners and are available in capacities of 30 and 40 kW.
