Sputter hardware for photovoltaics (PV)

Advantages

  • New in the PV industry: lower Cost of Ownership thanks to the advantages of using rotatable magnetron technology (more material inventory, higher utilization grade, better cooling & higher stability)
  • For each situation an adequate solution of our broad product portfolio can be offered (in case of horizontal or vertical applications, (limited) space inside or next to the coater etc.)
  • Solid, robust design with proven accountability thanks to our extended experience in new and in upgrades of existing PVD coating lines
  • Custom-made solutions with local, efficient and continuous service support

More than 15 years of experience in cylindrical sputtering technology results in an extensive offer of custom-made rotating sputter hardware for all PVD applications, commonly used in the different production methods of solar cells in the PV industry:
cathodes, 3 types of magnetrons (compact end block, Bekaert axial magnetron and standard/trimline end blocks), sputter electronics, gas system, control system and other options, with customization far beyond the level of integrating hardware.

Discover also our extended offering of cylindrical sputter targets, made specifically for solar applications, e.g. applications for TCO (transparent conductive oxides) materials like AZO and ITO and back contact materials like Mo, Ag, Al, NiV and applications for c-Si (crystalline silicon) solar cells like High Purity Silicon to obtain passivation and anti-reflective layers.
