Window Elevator

Bekaert’s fine cord offers cables for automotive applications, such as window elevator, mirror cable and control cable for hood & trunk release, fuel tank release, sunroof cable, parking brake etc.

Cable operated window elevators are in fact a replacement product for the non-cable scissor type window elevator. A touch of the switch opens and closes the window automatically. Intelligent electronics make for safety: the pane reverses automatically before anything is trapped between pane and door frame.
Cable systems are lighter compared to the scissor system. (weight saving amounts to 700 gram in front doors). Furthermore, cable systems offer more space flexibility and therefore offer more room for larger speakers, lateral airbags and other components.

Next to the blank cable, window regulator cord is now also available in a coated variety.
