Steel Cord Reinforced Strips
|
|
Insertion strips are steel cords embedded in non-vulcanized adhering rubber compound, or in thermoplastics. Insertion strips exist in different strengths according to the cord properties and cord sizes. They can vary in flexibility by changing the diameter of the filaments. Altering the steelcord type can influence the elongation characteristics of the insertion strips. The material in which the strips are incorporated can vary from rubber to thermoplastics, according to customer specifications and the application.

SOME APPLICATIONS:
- Rubber tracks
- Handrails for escalators and walkways
- Conveyor belt rip stop barriers
- Dock fenders
- Timing belts

Because of the good adhesion characteristics in the end product, the insertion strips are very durable. The extrusion protects the steelcord against corrosion and shifting, and safeguards the initial strength. Insertion strips are applied as reinforcement for all kinds of technical rubber products, e.g. handrails, conveyor belt splices, rubber tracks, dock fenders, timing belts etc. |
