In January the AHR Expo was held in Chicago in the USA, the 64th international air-conditioning, heating,  refrigerating exposition in Chicago, USA. This fair, the largest AHR Expo ever held, was an ideal opportunity for Bekaert to showcase our complete product range to our relations. The fair took place over 3 days in January and attracted a new all-time attendance record with nearly 40.000 registered visitors and 1.968 exhibitors from 35 countries attending.  AHR Expo 2012 was hailed as a major success as Global Sales and Global Sales and Marketing Manager Marcel Jansen said “AHR Expo is one of the key events in the HVACR industry in the USA. Therefore Bekaert looks forward to participating to the next edition in 2013”.

In February Bekaert was present at the VSK in Utrecht in the Netherlands. With 450 exhibitors the VSK is the most important exhibition for heating, climate control and sanitary systems in the Benelux area. The exhibition was held in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht from Monday February 6th until Friday February 10th, 2012. According to the official fair report, the interest of the visitor was especially focused on the heating sector (68% of the visitors). 60% of visitors was visiting existing relations, a fact that BCT Heating General Manager Christophe Cortinovis also noticed during his VSK experience. “We have welcomed many of our customers during this fantastic week, that is why Bekaert is always enthusiastic about this fair, since it allows us to maintain our good relationship with our customers in Western Europe”.

In March the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort in Milan, the biennial international exhibition dedicated to residential and industrial installations, attracted a broad audience of professionals that wanted to take a look at the most advanced technologies for comfort, efficiency and energy saving. With its 155.000 visitors, particularly from Germany, France, UK, Poland, Turkey, Morocco and Brazil, the Mostra is one of the most important fairs in Europe. Also Bekaert was one of the 2100 exhibitors and Robert Jan Hoytink, Key Account Manager of BCT Heating is of the opinion that the Mostra has reached its goal becoming an international point of reference for exhibitors and visitors, creating a unique opportunity to meet existing customers as well as potential new ones.

In April the ISH in Beijing, the Chinese International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning, closed the fair period of BCT Heating. A total record number of exhibitors and visitors for the 2012 edition was measured, making it the biggest Asian event. It attracted 816 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions in a total exhibition area of 70,000 sqm, covering five halls. There were 33156 visitors and the top 10 of the present countries were Russia, Korea, Italy, Japan, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Germany, the USA, Turkey and Australia. The exhibition was a big success for Bekaert, making it possible to communicate personally to the Asian customers what Bekaert has done, and of course continues to do, to better assist its customers in this region.

Bekaert can look back at a successful and productive fair period and therefore we want to thank you, our customer! All four exhibitions offered an excellent platform to introduce our latest developments and products as well as to reinforce our brand into the HVACR industry.

“Together with our customers we have made these fairs a big success”, states Marcel Jansen, Global Sales and Marketing Manager. During these four events, Bekaert could carry a strong message about our core products – premix gas burners and Aluminium heat exchangers-  with a special focus on our new products the Multipat® gas burner and the Alumini® heat exchanger. Bekaert would like to thank each of our customers for taking the time to visit us.
