Dr Toralf Haag started his career in 1994 with Thyssen Handelsunion AG in Düsseldorf.
In 1997 he became the Director of Corporate Finance and Development at ThyssenKrupp Budd Company in Detroit where, in 2000, he was appointed as CEO of the Stamping & Frame Division. From 2002 to 2005 he was the CFO of Norddeutsche Affinerie AG (now Aurubis AG) in Hamburg until he was appointed as CFO and a member of the Management Board of Lonza Group AG in 2005. In 2016, he became the CFO of Voith Group and in 2018, he was appointed as President and CEO of Voith Group. In 2024, he was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of Aurubis AG.
Dr Toralf Haag holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Augsburg and a doctorate from the University of Kiel.
