€30 million granted to OCP's green H2 project by German government
A German government-backed development fund has awarded €30m ($31.26m) to a green hydrogen initiative in Morocco. The Jorf Lasfar project, developed by HydroJeel for Moroccan fertiliser company OCP, aims to produce 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually starting next year. Located at OCP's existing fertiliser production site on Morocco's west coast, the project will be powered by new wind and solar plants. This non-refundable grant from the PtX Development Fund supports Morocco's efforts in advancing sustainable energy solutions.

New 250MW green H2 plant planned by TotalEnergies and Air Liquide
TotalEnergies and Air Liquide have today (Tuesday) agreed to co-develop a new 250MW green hydrogen project in the Netherlands, as part of a wide-ranging deal that would see the oil giant offtake nearly 45,000 tonnes of renewable H2 per year from two Dutch projects by 2029.

HyGreen Teesside hydrogen project cancelled by BP
BP has canceled its HyGreen Teesside hydrogen project, shifting focus to high-graded hydrogen and carbon capture projects like NZT Power, NEP, and H2Teesside. Initially planned for 500MW capacity by 2030, the project faced planning approval issues. BP is now increasing oil and gas investments while reducing renewables funding.
