Construction begins on Indoneasian geothermal-powered green hydrogen pilot
Construction has begun in Indonesia on a geothermal-powered green hydrogen pilot at Ulubelu, built around an AEM electrolyzer. The project, led by state-owned Pertamina, is seen as a stepping stone toward producing green ammonia and methanol. By leveraging geothermal energy, the pilot aims to demonstrate a clean, renewable route to hydrogen that can be integrated with future chemical and fuel production systems.

OMV partners up on largest green H2 plant in EU
OMV has teamed up with Siemens Energy and STRABAG to build a 140 MW green hydrogen plant in Austria’s Bruck an der Leitha, aiming to produce up to 23,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually to supply its Schwechat refinery and slash ~150,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.
