Olivier Biebuyck (°1970) joined Bekaert on 1 June 2026 as Chief Executive Officer.
He started his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company prior to holding P&L leadership roles at Lafarge North America. He joined Honeywell in the USA (2013), where he served as Chief Marketing Officer of Honeywell Process Solutions and subsequently as Vice President and General Manager of Honeywell Electronics Materials.
Olivier joined ESAB Corporation (2017) as Vice President and General Manager of the filler metals business. He then held roles of increasing responsibility with ESAB, including President EMEA and Global Products, and most recently President of the Fabrication Technology platform and Executive officer. In these roles he shaped the company’s portfolio through innovation, strategic acquisitions and integrations.
Olivier Biebuyck has dual Belgian-American nationality. He holds a master’s degree in commercial engineering from Solvay Business School at the University of Brussels.
