With our dedicated technology centers, Bekaert is leading the way in the heating technology and is there to help you from the initial inquiry through the final application.

Lab capabilities

Our technology centers are equipped with state of art equipment to measure gas rates combustion, heat transfer and thermo-acoustics with all available gas qualities. We have an acoustic cell, temperature controlled cell and life time test equipment for burners and boilers from 1 – 1.000 kW. 

A fully dedicated team of specialists are working on innovation and product development.

Simulation

Bekaert has developed specialized simulation models to measure the actual performance of a new design under different circumstances. With these models we can study phenomena such as:

  • Heat transfer behavior
  • Combustion chamber and water channel gas and water flows
  • Fluid to metal interaction (gas to metal and metal to water)
  • Thermo-acoustic behavior and counter measures

Our expertise in these simulation techniques will offer you a reduced development time for your boiler and also a reduction in time to solve a specific combustion or heat transfer related problems. Our advanced computer model predicts unstable frequencies in full 3D geometry. These accurate models allow us to go from design to prototype phase much faster than ever before.
