Annie Xu-Huhmann (1975) started working at Bekaert on 1 March 2023.
She joined Bekaert from ThyssenKrupp Elevator where she held the position of CEO for China. An aeronautics engineer, Annie spent much of her career within the energy sector, including with General Electric, Siemens and Schneider Electric. While working at Schneider, she led the creation of "Smart Cities", combining Traffic Management, Smart Grid, Smart Home, and Water Management solutions, before moving to the role of CEO of the company’s Energy Business in China. After her passage at Schneider Electric, she worked at Linde and SMS Group in EVP and CEO roles.
Annie Xu-Huhmann, Chinese national, holds degrees in International Industrial Business and Aeronautic Engineering (Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics), MBA and Business Informatics (Erasmus University) and is currently obtaining her doctoral degree of Business Administration (China Europe International Business School).
