Hydraulic filtration
As a malfunction can be catastrophic and expensive, hydraulic systems must be kept clean and in perfect working order. Hydraulic filtration is used in aviation hydraulics, heavy-duty vehicles, mining and petrochemicals equipment. Filtration media must operate in a corrosive environment and at fluctuating pressures, be easily cleanable, and offer a long lifetime.
Bekipor® fiber media is a porous web of sintered, stainless steel fibers. Its strong 3D structure maintains its integrity and retention efficiency even under continuous exposure to stress and vibrations, making it the ideal media for hydraulic fluid filtration.

A monolayer or multilayer graded structure can be both pleated and welded, allowing flexibility in filter element design.

Bekipor® is available in various alloys. It features exceptional porosity and permeability, and has high dirt-holding capacity, a low pressure drop, and a superior on-stream life. These high quality, stainless steel fibers provide excellent thermal and chemical resistant properties.

High filtration efficiency and performance under high stress and vibrations

High porosity and permeability of Bekipor® keeps the hydraulic system free of contaminants. Metal fiber media are binder-less and are fixated by metal-to-metal contact points. This means no deterioration of filter performance through degradation, nor particle shedding which can actively contaminate the oil in the hydraulic system.

High dirt-holding capacity under high pressure

Bekipor® features exceptional porosity and permeability, resulting in an absolute filter rating as low as 2 µm. The media exhibit a high dirt-holding capacity under dynamic conditions. This makes it ideal for hydraulic fluid systems where the pressures can be high and variable.
 

High thermal and chemical resistance and anti-static properties

Bekipor® high-quality stainless steel fibers provide excellent thermal and chemical resistant properties. Small systems with significant friction such as hydraulic systems can lead to build-up of static electricity. Metal fiber media is an anti-static media.

Increased lifetime, cleanable and fully recyclable

Metal fiber media are cleanable and recyclable (it is easy to recycle the full metallic element).
